So yet again another ball to have at this school. I'm not quite sure yet if I will go - it's always such a bother to spend an entire evening in the same room as all those mudbloods and other houses student. I never feel quite clean again for another few days even if I wash myself several times in the meantime. But then, dances can be such fun... and the perfect place for a little bit of amusement.

And then, I did find the cutest dress. Of course, cute might be misused in this context...

Any idea of what I should do?

It has been decided, my brother Caleb is to be married to my cousin Natalia next Summer. The news of their engagement only just came to my ears (through Mother and Father's closed bedroom door) but I can't say I am completely happy about it. Caleb is a dear boy and Natalia is my favourite cousin, always has been, but they are just not right for one another. It is only yet another match to ensure the continuity of the pure-blood line, yet another couple that does not love each other, that will only be joined for convenience. And guess who is the next in line? Why, me of course. But as all my male cousins have already married, I am not worried of marrying someone in the family. It will most likely be worse, but I suppose I should not worry until I reach the end of my final year at Hogwarts, as Mother said she did not want me to be married until I was of age, and wants to see me graduate. If it'd been only of Father's wishes, I'd be off with some middle aged man already. He would most likely have sent me away when I was fifteen.

Well this is all the interesting event that has happened over the Summer. Yes, Summer was quite boring. Of course, I met with some friends a few time, but frankly nothing of big interest has happened. I am to go shopping with Mother soon, to buy a few needed objects and books for school. Frankly, I'd much rather not go back, but then I'd obviously miss some of my Slytherins house mates. A very little amount of them, but everybody needs a distraction.
